- Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel/tire assembly.
- On Accent, Elantra and Tiburon models, remove axle nut, then the hub and drum assembly, Fig. .
- On Sonata models, remove brake drum. If drum is difficult to remove, screw in bolts to pull drum out, Figs. and .
- On all models, remove end shoe springs, cylinder and hold-down spring.
- Remove shoes and adjuster as an assembly.
