RADIATOR & HOSE REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 2003 Jaguar XJ8 AUTOMOBILES
Includes radiator, cooling and heater hose replacement procedures for domestic and imported 2003 Jaguar XJ8 cars and light trucks from 1990+
Coolant Hose, Replace -> Lower -> Non-supercharged -> Supercharged -> Upper

Supercharged
Lower
- Drain coolant into a suitable container.
- Remove two screws which secure radiator grille and remove grille for access.
- Release and reposition spring clip, and disconnect hose from charge air cooler radiator.
- Slacken hose retaining clip and reposition clip along hose.
- Disconnect hose from radiator.
- Release and reposition hose clip, and disconnect bottom hose from thermostat cover.
- Release and reposition hose clips, and disconnect two sections of molded hose from air charge cooler.
- Remove hose assembly from vehicle.
- Reverse procedure to install.

- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Drain cooling system into suitable container.
- Recover A/C refrigerant.
- Disconnect both gas struts.
- Set engine cover fully forward to service access position and support with suitable block. Do not damage engine cover or radiator grille.
- Remove twin fan and motor assembly.
- Disconnect radiator to expansion tank hose from radiator.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Disconnect transmission oil cooler lower line. Plug line and opening.
- Lower vehicle.
- Disconnect transmission oil cooler upper line. Plug line and opening.

- Drain coolant into a suitable container.
- Remove cowl vent screen.
- Remove engine compartment support.
- Detach brake booster vacuum hose from induction manifold.
- Disconnect heater hose from heater core.
- Disconnect heater hose couplings.
- Disconnect heater hose.
- Detach heater hose assembly bracket.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove heater hose assembly retaining bolt.
