Brake Pedal Height
- Disconnect brake switch connector.
- Loosen brake switch locknut and back switch off until no longer touches brake pedal.
- Turn up floor mat and measure pedal height from lefthand center of pedal pad
- Loosen locknut and turn pushrod to specified height, Fig. .
- Torque locknut to 11 ft. lbs.
- On 3.2CL, 3.2TL and 3.2RL models, turn in brake light switch until plunger is fully depressed. Back switch off 1/4 turn to .01 inch clearance. Tighten locknut.

- Block front wheels, then raise and support rear of vehicle.
- Ensure rear caliper parking brake arm contacts pin.
- Pull parking brake lever up one notch and tighten adjusting nut until rear wheels drag slightly when turned.
- Release parking brake lever and ensure rear wheels do not drag when turned.
- Ensure parking brake lever is fully applied when lever is pulled up specified notches, Fig. .

Do not disassemble brake booster. If replacement is required, replace entire booster.
- Remove master cylinder as outlined under.
- Disconnect brake booster vacuum hose.
- On RL models, remove engine wire harness from brackets and position it aside.
- On TSX models, remove cover, mounting bolt and underhood fuse/relay box.
- On TL and TSX models, remove air cleaner.
- On 3.2CL and 3.2TL models, proceed as follows:
- Remove fuel feed line bracket.
- Remove starter cable clamps.

- With engine stopped, deplete vacuum reservoir by depressing brake pedal several times.
- Depress pedal hard and hold for 15 seconds. If pedal sinks, either of the following may exist:
- Master cylinder is bypassing internally.
- Master cylinder, lines, modulator proportioning valve or caliper are leaking.
- With brake pedal depressed, start engine. Not the following:
- If pedal sinks slightly, vacuum booster is operating normally.
