- Remove mounting bolts and insulator from HVAC module.
- Remove mounting screws and blower motor insulating cover.
- Disconnect blower motor from HVAC module by pulling retaining tab down while turning motor counterclockwise.
- Remove blower motor.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Torque blower motor insulating cover mounting screws to 14 inch lbs.
- Torque insulator mounting bolts to 14 inch lbs.

- Drain cooling system into suitable container.
- Disconnect clamps, then remove radiator inlet and outlet hoses.
- Remove hub nut and fan using fan clutch remover and installer tool No. J-46406 and fan clutch wrench tool No. J-41240-5A, or equivalents, in counterclockwise rotation.
- Remove engine oil cooler hose clip from lower fan shroud.
- Remove lower fan shroud by lifting to disconnect radiator clips.
- Disconnect clamp and remove radiator vent inlet hose.
