DRIVESHAFT, Replace
Vehicle: 2004 MERCEDES-BENZ SLK320 3.2 V6 GAS
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove lower part of engine encapsulation.
- Remove rear left frame cross brace.
- Remove exhaust system downstream of connector.
- Unhook suspension rubbers of exhaust system. Support exhaust system at rear muffler.
- Detach exhaust shield from tunnel.
- Detach rear transverse bridge.
- Detach reinforcement brace.
- Loosen clamping nut of propeller shaft. Loosen clamping nut approx. one turn, do not slide back rubber boot (the rubber boot slides with it).
- Loosen bolts of propeller shaft intermediate bearing.
- Remove rear engine mount.

- Remove exhaust system as from flange connection.
- Remove exhaust system at pipe connection.
