Radiator, Replace
Vehicle: 2005 Saturn L300 3.0 V6 GAS

  • Slide fan control module up and off bracket, then position aside.
  • Remove battery.
  • Drain coolant into suitable container.
  • Remove power steering fluid reservoir and position to rear of vehicle.
  • Disconnect both cooling fans and auxiliary water pump, then remove fan shroud harnesses.
  • Remove upper transaxle cooler line and unsnap front end tank retainer.
  • Remove upper radiator hose and auxiliary water pump outlet and inlet hoses.

RADIATOR & HOSE REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 2005 Saturn L300 AUTOMOBILES

Heater Hose, Replace -> Inlet -> Outlet
Vehicle: 2005 Saturn L300 3.0 V6 GAS

Inlet

  • Disconnect negative battery cable.
  • Drain cooling system into a suitable container.
  • Open heater hose assembly to manifold clamp and remove inlet hose.
  • Remove heater inlet hose from heater core pipe by depressing quick connect collar tab, located at 6 o'clock, and pulling black collar toward front of vehicle.
  • Pull quick connector off of heater core pipe.
  • Reposition heater core inlet hose clamp to coolant bridge clamp.
  • Remove hose from coolant bridge.
  • Remove hose from vehicle.
  • Reverse procedure to install.

  • Remove clamp which secures lower radiator hose to engine block.
  • Remove radiator outlet hose from engine block.
  • Remove upper transaxle cooler line from radiator.
