- On all models, disconnect fluid level sensor retainer and electrical connector.
- Drain master cylinder reservoir brake fluid into suitable container.
- Plug hose.
- Disconnect master cylinder brake pipes. Plug open pipes.
- Remove mounting nuts and master cylinder.
- Remove reservoir, as required.

- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove wheel and tire assembly.
- Remove tie rod end torque prevailing nut and discard nut.
- Using a suitable puller, separate the tie rod end from the steering knuckle. Do not attempt to separate the joint using a wedge-type tool because seal may be damaged.
