- Remove lower instrument finish panel.
- Disconnect stop lamp switch electrical connector.
- Loosen stop lamp switch lock nut, then remove stop lamp switch.
- Loosen brake master cylinder push rod clevis lock nut.
- Adjust pedal height by turning pedal push rod.
- Torque push rod lock nut to 19 ft. lbs.

- On xA and xB models, disconnect brake lines from master cylinder using tool No. 09023-00100 or equivalent.
- On tC models, disconnect brake lines from master cylinder using tool No. 09023-00101 or equivalent.
- On all models, slowly depress and hold brake pedal.
- Cover outer holes using fingertips and release brake pedal.
- Repeat previous two steps 3-4 times.

- Raise and support vehicle to remove front wheel.
- Drain brake fluid into suitable container.
- Remove front disc brake cylinder union bolt and gasket.
- Disconnect flex hose from front disc brake cylinder.
- Holding front disc brake cylinder slide pin, remove two bolts.
- Remove front disc brake pad kit.
