- Remove master cylinder as outlined under .
- Remove charcoal vapor canister as required.
- Remove brake booster vacuum hose.
- Remove pedal return spring, clip, clevis pin and clevis locknut, Fig. .
- Remove brake booster nuts. Pull out booster and gasket.
Installation
- Adjust length of booster pushrod as follows:
- Install gasket on master cylinder.
- Install brake booster pushrod gauge tool No. 09737-00010, or equivalent, on gasket.
- Lower pin until its tip slightly touches the piston.
- Turn gauge tool upside down and set it on boos...

- Raise and support rear of vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assembly.
- Disconnect brake hose from brake tube and caliper using a suitable tool.
- Remove caliper attaching bolts, then the caliper, Fig. .
- Remove anti-squeal shim(s), brake pad, anti-rattle spring, pad guide plate and pad support plate.
- Reverse procedure to install, then bleed brake system.
