- Remove PCM mounting fasteners, then position PCM aside.
- Remove master cylinder as outlined under "Master Cylinder, Replace."
- Disconnect rear brake tubes at junction block. Plug all open brake tubes.
- Disconnect vacuum hose from check valve on power brake booster.
- Remove lower instrument panel/steering column cover.
- Remove and discard brake lamp switch.
- Remove brake booster push rod to brake pedal retaining clip. Discard clip.
- Slide booster push rod off brake pedal pin.
- Remove brake booster to dash panel retaining nuts.

Brake System Bleed
The Teves anti-lock brake system must be bled as two independent braking systems. The non-ABS portion of the brake system should be bled the same as any non-ABS system. The ABS portion of the system requires the use of a DRB, or equivalently programmed scan tool.
Non-ABS Portion
Pressure Bleed
Use bleeder tank tool No. C-3496-B, or equivalent, and adapter tool No. BB400-9A, or equivalent, to pressurize hydraulic system.
Normal pressure bleeder pressure should not be more than 35 psi. On models equipped with plastic reservoirs, do not exceed 25 psi bleeding pressure.

- Raise and support vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assembly.
- While helper applies brakes, remove hub nut from half shaft.
- Remove two mounting bolts, disc brake caliper and adapter. Suspend assembly aside using suitable wire or bungee cord. Do not overextend brake hose.
- Remove clips and brake rotor.
- Loosen each hub and bearing mounting bolt 1-2 turns at a time while pulling outward on hub and bearing.
