- Place vehicle in neutral and release parking brake.
- Raise vehicle off ground and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
- Remove exhaust front tube and center muffler.
- Remove floor reinforcement.
- Loosen center bearing bracket nuts. Do not remove center bearing bracket nuts.

Tire Pressure Sensor
Removal
- Deflate tire, then remove retaining nut an allow sensor to fall into tire.
- Gently bounce tire so sensor falls to bottom of tire.
- Place tire on suitable tire changing machine and break both tire beads. Ensure sensor remains at bottom of tire.
- Turn tire so valve hole is at bottom, then bounce tire so sensor is near valve hole.
- Lift tire onto turntable and position tire valve stem hole 270° from mounting/dismounting head, Fig. .
- Lubricate tire, then remove first side of tire.
- Reach inside of tire and remove sensor, Fig. .
- Remove second side of tire.

- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- On models equipped with AWD, remove power steering oil reservoir tank from bracket.
- Remove wiring harness clip for power steering oil pressure sensor.
- On all models, raise vehicle on lift.
- Remove bolts for engine front undercover then remove undercover.
- Remove alternator and power steering oil pump belts by loosening idler pulley lock nut. Upon installation adjust belt tension by turning adjusting bolt. Inspect belt tension using a suitable belt tension gauge. Used belt tension 18 lbs., and new belt tension 15 lbs.

Do not remove radiator cap when engine is hot. Serious burns could occur from high-pressure engine coolant escaping from thermostat housing.
- Wrap a thick cloth around radiator cap. Slowly turn it a quarter of a turn to release built-up pressure. Carefully remove radiator cap by turning it all way.
