- Remove rear disc brake rotor as outlined in .
- Measure inside diameter of parking brake drum using brake adjustment gauge tool No. D81L-1103-A, or equivalent, Fig. .
- Adjust parking brake shoe to .020 inch (.508 mm) less than drum measurement, Fig. .
- Reverse procedure to install.
E-Super Duty
E-250 w/Tension Limiter
- Loosen tension limiter nut to end of tension limiter threads.
- Depress brake pedal to last detent position (17 clicks).
- Measure and record exposed length of cinch strap, Fig. .

DRIVESHAFT, Replace -> Front -> One Piece Driveshaft -> Rear -> Three Piece Driveshaft -> Two Piece Driveshaft

Front
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Index-mark front driveshaft to front axle flange and at transfer case flange.
- Remove and discard bolts and U-joint retainers.
- Remove and discard flange bolts.
- Compress and separate front driveshaft from front axle, then separate driveshaft from transfer case. Wrap electrical tape around the bearing cups to prevent them from falling off the U-joint spider.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Tighten transfer case flange bolts in a cross pattern.
- Torque flange bolts to 22 ft. lbs.
- Torque U-joint retainer bolts to 26 ft. lbs.

Tire pressure sensors are manufactured in multiple colors based on their application. When installing a new sensor, make sure the color of the sensor being installed matches the color of the sensor that was removed. The different colored sensors are not interchangeable, Fig. .

- Locate strap buckle and secure strap to wheel using duct tape or a similar item, on both sides of buckle approximately 0.98 inches from buckle.

Always disconnect battery ground cable at the battery before disconnecting starter motor battery terminal lead. If a tool is shorted at the starter motor battery terminal, the tool can quickly heat enough to cause a skin burn. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.
