DRIVELINE, U-JOINT & CV AXLES REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 2007 Saab 9-3 AUTOMOBILES

Includes CV axle, universal joint, and driveline replacement, for domestic and imported 2007 Saab 9-3 cars and light trucks from 1990+.

CV AXLE SHAFT, Replace -> Install -> Remove
Vehicle: 2007 Saab 9-3 2.0T 2.0 L4 GAS

Remove

Raise and support vehicle.
Remove wheel and tire assembly.
Remove wheel hub center nut.
Remove lower engine cover.
On convertible models, remove chassis reinforcement at front subframe.
On all models, remove steering swivel member bolt, lower swivel arm and place a wedge tool No. 83 95 238 or equivalent between swing arm and anti-roll bar.
Detach brake hose from clip and ABS harness holder. Turn wheel for better access.
Press out drive shaft from wheel hub about 10 mm, using puller tool No. 89 96 951or equivalent.
If removing lefthand drive shaft, proceed as follows:
