Vehicle: 2007 Volkswagen Jetta GLI 2.0 L4 GAS
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Remove screws, disconnect electrical connection, and loosen spring-type clamps at air filter duct.
- Remove engine cover by pulling upward.
- Disconnect vacuum hose from air filter housing.
- Remove air filter housing mounting bolt.
- Release retaining tabs and remove air filter housing cover.
- Disconnect connector coupling, loosen spring clamp, remove screws, then remove charge air hose and pipe.
- Remove connecting tube from charge air cooler to turbocharger.
- If belt is to be reused mark direction of rotation, before removing drive belt. Belt damage will res...

- Remove radiator grille.
- On models equipped with headlamp cleaning system, pull out spray jets with cover cap from bumper cover until it stops and unclip cover cap.
- On all models, remove bumper cover mounting bolts from left and right wheelhousing liners.
- With aid of assistant, remove remaining bumper cover mounting bolts and pull bumper cover parallel out of guide profiles.
- Disconnect harness connectors of installed electrical components and hoses, then remove bumper cover from vehicle.
