- Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
- Retract caliper piston in bore by grasping rear of caliper and pulling outward working with guide pins. Never push on piston directly.
- Remove caliper guide pin bolt by holding it while turning bolt.
- Rotate caliper upward. Do not overextend brake hose.
- Remove brake pads from caliper, then the anti-rattle clips.
- Remove caliper to steering knuckle guide pin bolts.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

- Remove brake fluid reservoir cap, then siphon as much brake fluid as possible from reservoir.
- Remove reservoir to master cylinder mounting screws.
- Pull reservoir straight up to remove from master cylinder.
- Remove brake fluid switch from reservoir.
- Reverse procedure to install.
Except Caliber, Avenger & Sebring Sedan
These models use ISO style flares that are of metric dimension. Use ISO style tubing flares and metric tubing when performing any repairs.

- Raise and support vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assembly.
- While helper applies brakes, remove hub nut from half shaft.
- Remove two mounting bolts, disc brake caliper and adapter. Suspend assembly aside using suitable wire or bungee cord. Do not overextend brake hose.
- Remove clips and brake rotor.
- Loosen each hub and bearing mounting bolt 1-2 turns at a time while pulling outward on hub and bearing.

Use bleeder tank tool No. C-3496-B, or equivalent, and adapter tool No. 6921, or equivalent, to pressurize hydraulic system.
Normal pressure bleeder pressure should not be more than 35 psi. On models equipped with plastic reservoirs, do not exceed 25 psi bleeding pressure.
- Attach suitable clear plastic hose to bleeder screw and submerge other end into clear container with clean brake fluid.
- Open bleeder screw at least one full turn.
- Bleed 4-8 ounces of fluid through system until air free flow is maintained.
- Repeat procedure at all bleeder screws.
