- Disconnect and isolate battery ground cable at battery.
- Remove alternator drive belt.
- Remove upper most mounting bolt from alternator.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove lower splash shield.
- Remove bolt from transmission cooler line clamp at right crossmember and reposition transmission cooler line.
- A heat shield is used over right engine mount. Heat shield must be removed to gain access to alternator support bracket nut. Remove two heat shield mounting bolts.
