Vehicle: 2009 Ford Explorer XLT 4.0 V6 GAS
- Disconnect negative battery cable at battery.
- Drain cooling system into a suitable container.
- Remove coolant expansion tank.
- Remove bolt and position power steering fluid reservoir aside.
- Release clamp and disconnect upper radiator hose.
- Release clamp and disconnect lower radiator hose.
- Detach lower radiator hose retainer from lower fan shroud.
- Detach transmission cooler hose retainer from righthand radiator support bracket.
- Remove four lower radiator air deflector pushpins and position air deflector aside.
- Remove two latch assemblies from transmission cooler tubes.
