Index-mark both driveshaft flanges.
- With vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
- Remove muffler and tailpipe.
- Remove exhaust support brace bolts and exhaust brace.
- Remove and discard CV joint flange bolt and washer assemblies. Do not reuse the bolt and washer assemblies for the rear constant velocity (CV) joint flange. Install new assemblies or damage to the vehicle may occur.
- Separate driveshaft CV flange from rear drive unit flange using a flat blade screwdriver.
- Remove and discard driveshaft-to-transfer case bolts....
