DRIVELINE, U-JOINT & CV AXLES REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 2009 Lincoln MKS AUTOMOBILES
Includes CV axle, universal joint, and driveline replacement, for domestic and imported 2009 Lincoln MKS cars and light trucks from 1990+.
CV AXLE SHAFT, Replace
Vehicle: 2009 Lincoln MKS 3.7 V6 GAS
- Remove center hub cap from wheel.
- Loosen hub nut.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove front wheel and tire assembly.
- Remove hub nut and washer.
- Remove front brake anti-lock sensor harness from clip.
- Remove and position front brake anti-lock sensor aside.
- Remove and discard lower ball joint nut.
- Remove lower strut support nut and bolt. Discard nut.
- Using suitable tools, press ball joint stud until it is loose in knuckle.
- Wire knuckle to strut. This will prevent knuckle from falling off of strut while knuckle and lower ball joint are separated. Failure to follow these instructions may ...
