DRIVESHAFT, Replace
Vehicle: 2009 Lincoln MKX 3.5 V6 GAS
Index-mark both driveshaft flanges.
- With vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
- Remove and discard front driveshaft-to-transfer case bolts. Do not reuse constant velocity (CV) joint bolts. Install new bolts or damage to vehicle may occur.
- Remove and discard U-joint flange bolts. Do not reuse bolts for rear U-joint flange or damage to component may occur. Install new bolts.
- With help of an assistant, remove center bearing support nuts and driveshaft.
