- Remove battery cover.
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove rear steering gear crossmember.
- Remove wire harness from wire harness retaining clips on transmission oil cooler line bracket.
- Remove transmission oil cooler line bracket bolt.
- Remove right transmission cover bolt.
- Remove starter mounting bolts.
- Move starter toward front of vehicle, and remove transmission cover.
