When disassembled, wash all parts in denatured alcohol or clean brake fluid only. Use an air hose to blow out all passages, orifices and valve holes. Air dry and place parts on clean paper or lint-free cloth.

Driveshaft on both lefthand side and righthand side of vehicle use a tuned rubber damper weight. Damper weight applications vary by which side of vehicle is used and engine application. On models equipped with ABS, outer CV joint has a tone wheel which is used to determine vehicle speed for ABS operation.
- Loosen, but do not remove, stub axle to hub/bearing retaining nut while vehicle is on floor and brakes applied, then raise and support vehicle and remove front wheel and tire assembly.
