Using Control Panel Display
The DATC module self-test will only retrieve on-demand (hard fault) Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)s. It will not retrieve continuous DTCs. The DATC module will not detect concerns associated with data link messages such as engine coolant temperature or vehicle speed signals. To retrieve data link message concerns a scan tool must be used.
The DATC module self-test will detect concerns in the system control functions and will display hard faults that are present during self-test.
