- Place a cover over the fender to protect paint from brake fluid.
- Disconnect brake lines and cap openings.
- Remove retaining nuts, then the master cylinder.
- Reverse procedure to install. Bleed master cylinder prior to installation.

- Clean area around damaged universal joint.
- Remove snap-rings. Use rust penetrating oil and a punch to loosen. Use snap-ring pliers to remove.
- Remove bearing cups. Use a vise and adjust it so that propeller shaft yoke rests on jaws.
