RWAL SYSTEM ELECTRIC CIRCUIT CHECK
The electrical circuit of RWAL system can be checked by measuring voltage of ECM connector terminals. RWAL ECM cannot be check by itself. If is strictly prohibited to connect voltmeter or ohmmeter to RWAL ECM with harness connector disconnected from it.
Battery must be fully charged to perform this test as terminal voltage will be directly affected by battery voltage.
- Remove RWAL ECM from body.
- Connect RWAL ECM harness coupler to RWAL ECM.
- Check voltage at each terminal of coupler connected. Refer to Fig. for voltage specifications.

SUZUKI, POWER BRAKE UNITS -> BRAKE BOOSTER OVERHAUL

Refer to Figs through when performing this procedure.
- Remove piston rod from booster, then push rod clevis and nut.
- Set booster in booster overhaul set No. 09950-88210, Fig.
- Tighten tool bolt clockwise until No. 1 body projecting part and No.2 body depressed part fit each other, Fig. Mark both body parts.
- Remove booster from tool, then separate No. 1 and No. 2 bodies. Hold both bodies carefully to prevent either body from jumping off by spring force.
- Remove piston return spring.
- From No. 2 body, remove boot, air cleaner elements and air cleaner separator.

- Clean any dirt from around reservoir cap. Remove cap, then brake fluid.
- Remove reservoir connector screw, Fig., then reservoir.
- Disconnect brake lines from master cylinder. Do not allow brake fluid to get on painted surfaces.
- Remove master cylinder attaching bolts, then master cylinder.
- Adjust clearance of booster piston rod to master cylinder piston as follows:
- Push piston rod several times to ensure reaction disc is in place.
- Measure with gasket in place on master cylinder and booster at atmospheric pressure.

Brakes should be tested on dry, clean, smooth and reasonable level roadway which is not crowned. Road test brakes by making brake applications with both light and heavy pedal forces at various speeds to determine if car stops evenly and effectively.
Also drive car to see if it leads to one side without brake application. If it does, check tire pressure, front end alignment and front suspension attachments for looseness.
