- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Discharge refrigerant system.
- Disconnect discharge hose from condenser inlet fitting.
- Remove radiator grill.
- Remove radiator assembly from vehicle.
- Disconnect the liquid line from the condenser outlet line.
- Reverse procedure to install. If condenser was replaced, add 1.8 oz. suitable oil to compressor.

- Remove timing belt cover and tensioner.
- Remove water pump mounting bolts, then the alternator support brace.
- Remove water pump assembly.
- Reverse procedure to install. When installing water pump mounting bolts, torque bolts marked "4" to 11 ft. lbs. and bolts marked "7" to 20 ft. lbs. install timing belt tensioner, then adjust belt tension as outlined under "Timing Belt, Replace" in MOTOR's "IMPORTED CAR REPAIR MANUAL".
