- Disarm air bag system as described under .
- Remove rear hood seal from channel and electrical wire duct grille from firewall.
- Remove air collection box.
- Remove cylinder head cover for access.
- Loosen screws and tilt blower motor electric lead cover forward.
- Loosen clips and remove cover. Disconnect blower motor electrical connectors.
- On 318 models, remove water flange for clearance.
- On all models, remove blower motor.
- Reverse procedure to install. Rearm air bag system as outlined under if equipped.

- Remove windshield washer fluid reservoir.
- Remove trim panel covering receiver/drier.
- Disconnect refrigerant lines and plug openings.
- Disconnect wiring from switches.
- Remove 3 mounting tab bolts, and lift drier out of opening.
- Reverse procedure to install, using new seals when re-connecting refrigerant lines. Do not remove plugs from new receiver drier unit until ready connect refrigerant lines.
