- Disconnect AIR pipe from catalytic converter and exhaust pipe.
- Disconnect electrical connector to oxygen sensor.
- Remove bolts securing muffler to hangers, disconnect exhaust pipes from manifolds and remove exhaust system as an assembly.
- Support transmission, remove support beam retaining bolts and support beam.

Accessing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

The trouble codes can be accessed by connecting a suitable jumper wire between the ALDL connector link terminals B and A. The connector is located under the left side of the instrument panel. The Low Tire Pressure Warning Lamp will blink the trouble codes. The codes may also be accessed by connecting a suitably programmed scan tool to the ALDL connector.

The TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) will inform the vehicle operator of and under inflated tire condition. The system allows the tire pressure in all four tires to monitored. The sensors will transmit allow tire message if a tire pressure falls below 25 psi.
