- Remove drive belt from pulley. Disconnect field coil wiring.
- Remove mounting bolts and reposition compressor as needed to gain access to clutch. Compressor need not be completely removed, and the system does not have to be discharged, to remove clutch assembly.
- Use a suitable spanner wrench to hold clutch hub plate and remove shaft nut and lock washer, Fig. .
