If battery cable has been disconnected, the PCM must relearn a new operating strategy. Connect battery cable and run engine until operating temperature is reached. After engine warm-up, drive vehicle under various operating conditions until PCM has relearned new strategy.

The air bleed valve is located on the front of the engine in the thermostat housing to engine outlet connector. There is a relief in the cylinder head for locating the air bleed. To bleed, open valve while engine is running until all has bled from cooling system.

The mode door actuator is located on the upper lefthand side of the heater/A/C housing.
- Remove lefthand underpanel silencer and disconnect actuator electrical connector.
- Remove actuator retaining screws, then lower actuator. Because actuator shaft is keyed, it is important to note its orientation for installation reference.
- Reverse procedure to install. Ensure actuator shaft aligns with keyway.
