- Place ignition switch in Off position.
- Connect battery ground cable. Ensure no one is in vehicle passenger compartment when connecting battery ground cable.
- From a safe position to side of air bag modules, turn ignition switch to On position and note air bag warning lamp operation.
- On 1990-93 911 and 968 models, warning lamp should be illuminated for approximately five seconds after ignition switch has been placed in On position and then go Off.

The cooling system is factory filled with a lifetime engine coolant. This engine coolant must not be mixed or replaced with other coolants. Use only original Porsche coolant, or equivalent, when changing or topping up the engine coolant.
