Esteem
The engine cooling fan is turned on and off by the Radiator Fan Control (RFC) relay. The fan is turned On when temperatures rise above 205°F, and the fan is turned Off when the temperature dips below 196°F. If operation is not as described, check the following: RFC relay, ECT sensor, ECM, coolant temperature gauge and sender unit. Refer to "Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor" outlined under "A/C Component Diagnosis & Testing" for ECT sensor diagnosis.

- Remove master cylinder from booster as outlined under " Master Cylinder, Replace," in "Hydraulic Brakes."
- Disconnect pushrod clevis from brake pedal arm.
- Disconnect vacuum hose from booster.
- Remove booster attaching nuts, then the booster assembly.
- Reverse procedure to install, then ensure brake pedal height and pedal travel is correct as outlined under "Brake Pedal Height, Adjust," and "Brake Pedal Travel Check" in "Hydraulic Brakes."

This procedure describes a driveline equipped with cardan joint in tube yoke. Driveline equipped with companion/slip yoke repeat steps to remove remaining cardan joint.
- Place driveshaft on suitable workbench. Do not damage driveshaft when servicing on workbench. Ensure driveline and components are reference marked to prevent driveline imbalance.
- Tap outside of bearing cap with a drift to loosen snap ring.
- Remove snap rings from both sides of yoke using suitable tool.
