- Disconnect battery ground cable, then positive cable. After disconnecting cables, wait at least 3 minutes, with ignition switch off before disconnecting air bag module electrical connectors.

- Loosen wheel nuts slightly.
- Raise and support vehicle and support it with safety stands.
- Remove wheel nuts and front wheels.
- Drain transmission fluid, then reinstall drain plug using new washer. It is not required to remove drain plug when left driveshaft is removed.
- Lift up locking tab on spindle nut then remove nut.
- Remove self-locking nut with 12mm dampner fork mounting bolt. and 10mm dampner pinch bolt then remove dampner fork.
- Remove cotter pin from lower arm ball joint castle nut and remove nut.
