The diagnostic connector, Fig. , is located under the lefthand side of the instrument panel. These models utilize a 16-way connector which also serves as a diagnostic link for the PCM and air bag electronic control module. In all cases, a DRB, or equivalent, diagnostic scan tool can be linked to this connector to obtain diagnostic trouble codes.

The base brake system must be bled anytime air is permitted to enter the hydraulic system. However, anti-lock brake system components should only be bled if the hydraulic control unit has been removed or if there is reason to believe that air has entered the unit.
