- Drain engine coolant into suitable container.
- Disconnect quick disconnect heater hose couplings at heater core.
- Plug heater hoses with suitable 5/8 or 3/4 inch plugs.
- Remove engine cover.
- Remove instrument panel finish panel.
- Remove heater core cover and discard heater core case seal.
- Remove heater core using care to avoid spilling coolant.
- Reverse procedure to install.

- Position control to discharge air at A/C vents in instrument panel.
- Start engine and allow to idle, while engine is idling, feel for hot air at A/C vents.
- If air discharge remains cool and engine coolant temperature gauge does not move, engine coolant level is low and must be filled.
