The TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitor System) alerts the driver when a large change in the pressure of one tire exists. The system detects a tire pressure condition while the vehicle is in motion, once a tire pressure condition is detected, the system alerts the driver whenever the ignition is turned On.

The Low Tire Pressure indicator will turn On when the pressure in one of the tires becomes 12 psi. lower or higher then the other three. The low tire pressure monitor system uses the ABS wheel speed sensors to determine if a tire is low by a variation in wheel speed.
