- Raise vehicle off ground and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
- Mark companion flange, flange yoke, and differential companion flange and rubber coupling with a line.
- Remove bolts securing driveline from companion flange. When removing driveline use care not to damage the boot. Insert a cloth into the boot to prevent it from being damaged.
- Separate driveline from transfer assembly.
- Remove center support bearing mounting bolts...

- Remove aluminum wheel cover using suitable tool.
- Raise and support vehicle and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
- Remove wheel nuts and front wheels.
- Remove split pin and castle nut.
- Remove spare tire and support hanger of main muffler to avoid interference with differential carrier in removing righthand driveshaft.
- Place match marks on propeller rubber coupling and differential flange and remove mounting bolts and nuts.
- Remove differential mounting bolts and nuts while differential carrier is supported.

- Remove aluminum wheel cover using suitable tool.
- Raise and support vehicle and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
- Remove wheel nuts and front wheels.
- Remove split pin and castle nut.
- Drain transaxle oil.
- On models equipped with ABS, detach wheel speed sensor cable from bracket.
- Detach brake hose cable from bracket.
- Remove two flange bolts and detach knuckle from strut.
- Separate driveshaft from axle hub by tapping lightly with plastic hammer.
- Drive off driveshaft from transaxle or transfer inner shaft using a hammer and brass bar. Always use care not to damage...
