Fuel System Pressure Relief
Do not smoke or allow an open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel system related components. The highly flammable vapor mixtures may ignite, resulting in serious personal injury.
Prior to disconnecting fuel lines, the fuel system pressure must be relieved to prevent accidental fuel spray.
After the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal driveability symptoms may occur. The vehicle may need to be driven while it relearns its adaptive strategy.

- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove front wheels.
- Unscrew hexagon collar bolt on front axle shaft.
- Detach lower engine compartment paneling.
- Press supporting joint out of steering knuckle.
- Press tie rod joint out of steering knuckle.
- Move steering knuckle out of supporting joint.
- Turn back of steering knuckle outwards and then pull outwards, while moving front axle shaft out of front axle shaft flange. Do not damage boots of front axle shaft and of supporting joint.
