Brake System Bleed
The hydraulic brake system must be bled if air has entered the system. This could be caused by an open in the system, or replacement of a hydraulic system component. Symptoms include loss of brake operation, and a low or spongy brake pedal.
On models with ABS, use a suitable filter when adding fluid to reservoir tank.
- Ensure master cylinder reservoir is full. Add suitable brake fluid as needed, and securely install the master cylinder cap.
