- Remove air cleaner lid, then disconnect inlet air sensor and makeup air hose.
- Place transaxle in gated park.
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Loosen upper alternator T-bolt lock nut.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove right front wheel and tire.
- Remove accessory drive splash shield.
- Remove pencil strut from engine.
- Loosen alternator lower pivot bolt.
- Loosen accessory drive belt T-bolt.
- Disconnect electrical connectors from alternator.
- Rotate power steering and air conditioning drive belt tensioner clockwise, using a suitable tool.
- Remove drive belt and release tension.
