- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove engine under cover.
- Drain transmission fluid into a suitable container.
- Remove wheel lug nuts.
- Remove front axle hub nut.
- Remove bolt and separate speed sensor and flexible hose.
- Remove nut and separate stabilizer link from shock absorber.
- Remove cotter pin and castle nut from tie rod.

- Disconnect cable from battery ground terminal.
- Remove righthand engine under cover.
- Remove cylinder head cover.
- Remove fan and alternator V-belt.
- Remove two bolts and remove righthand engine mounting stay.
- Place a wooden block on a jack underneath engine.
- Remove six bolts and nut and remove righthand engine mounting insulator sub-assembly. Do not remove bolt attaching insulator to stay.
- Remove three bolts and remove engine mounting bracket.
- Remove two bolts and remove fan belt adjusting bar.
- Remove terminal cap.
- Remove nut and remove terminal B+.

The Maintenance Required reminder lamp will light as a bulb check feature when the ignition is first turned On, then go out after a few seconds. After 5000 miles have elapsed it will light for approximately three seconds after ignition turn-on, then flash for 12 seconds. If the elapsed mileage exceeds 7500 miles, the lamp will light at ignition turn-on and stay lit.
