- Remove air cleaner housing, if required.
- Remove brake master cylinder attaching nuts.
- Position brake master cylinder aside.
- Disconnect booster vacuum hose.
- Disconnect power distribution box auxiliary relay and set aside.
- Remove fuse panel cover.
- Remove brake pedal position switch self-locking pin.
- Remove brake pedal position switch and brake booster pushrod from brake pedal pin.
- Remove power brake booster nuts.
- Remove power brake booster.
- Reverse procedure to install. Torque booster mounting nuts to 16-21 ft. lbs.

The fuel system remains under high pressure even when the engine is not running. This residual pressure must be relieved before servicing the fuel system. To avoid injury or fire, release pressure from the fuel system before disconnecting any fuel line.
The fuel system pressure must be relieved prior to disconnecting fuel lines to prevent accidental spray of fuel.
After the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal driveability symptoms may occur. The vehicle may need to be driven 10 miles or more while it relearns its adaptive strategy.

- Remove front wheel assembly.
- Remove front brake disc.
- Remove and discard front axle wheel hub nut.
- Remove tie rod end nut, then remove tie rod end.
- Separate the lower ball joint from the front wheel knuckle.
- Separate halfshaft from front wheel knuckle, using suitable tool.
- Remove the halfshaft.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Torque tie rod end nut to 41 ft. lbs.
- Torque lower ball joint pinch bolt to 52 ft. lbs.
