On 1993 models, when replacing compressor drain old and new units. Add oil to new compressor equal to 2.7 ozs. minus amount drained from old unit.

When replacing other system components add the following amount of new oil: evaporator, 1.0 oz.; condenser, .3 oz.; receiver/drier, .3 oz.; line, .3 oz.

On 1994-95 models, when replacing compressor drain old and new units. Add oil to new compressor equal to 4.7 ozs. minus amount drained from old unit, but do not add more than 1.7 ozs. of oil.

  • Remove the grommet below floor and disconnect the fuel pump connector.
  • Start the engine and allow it to runout of fuel.
  • Crank the engine two or three times to release remaining fuel pressure.
  • Place the ignition switch to Off position.
