- If master cylinder has been replaced or overhauled and reservoir is empty, proceed as follows:
- Fill reservoir with clean brake fluid, then disconnect brake lines at master cylinder.
- Depress pedal slowly and hold pedal in depressed position.
- Place fingers over outlet port, then release brake pedal.
- Repeat above steps several times. Refill reservoir suitable brake fluid.

- Remove freewheeling hub cover assembly and remove snap ring from driveshaft.

- Pull left driveshaft out of differential carrier assembly without damaging oil seal.
- Using suitable jack, raise the lower arm.
